It’s the new year and it’s time to think ahead and plan ahead. What am I thinking about in this workspace? The EDC/CCW workspace that is myedcmyway dot com?
I am planning what articles to write about and maybe upping my game and running some courses for licensed pistol civilian owners. I also want to review more gear that is specifically aimed at the CCW crowd. Maybe some overlap into the EDC space as well. I’m not too focused on the EDC space because there already is a number of great online sources that addresses the Malaysian EDC community. Unless I have something fresh or a different perspective to offer, it would be a duplication of resources to rehash what they have covered already.
I am in a fortunate position because I am involved in an established licensed arms and ammunition dealer here in Kuching. I am also a Glock specialist and I am a certified Glock armourer but I am no longer current in my certification. However, I am still involved in Glock maintenance and servicing almost on a daily basis. So even though my certification is not current, my knowledge is. Take from that what you will.
I have social media accounts on X under my own name (@bahabidari) and I also have Instagram accounts under @myedcmyway, so I would appreciate the follow. My “personal” Instagram account is recently rebooted although I’m thinking twice about that idea and just concentrating on @myedcmyway (again, to prevent duplication of resources). I also maintain @tycomaarms social media on Instagram/Facebook and to a lesser extent on X. It’s hard going to post regular content on so many accounts on different platforms. On top of my day jobs (I have more than one job) and my personal and family responsibilities to boot.
I am also very open to feedback and suggestions, and as long as they do not breach industry best practices, any legal guidelines or the law, I will try my best to accommodate all reasonable request. I plan to grow this site and its social media accounts organically. Quality over quantity, which takes time and patience. I hope you understand that some of the things I do and am involved in is rather sensitive in nature and I have to make a call on whether it is suitable for social media use.
I joke that only10% of what I do is exciting, but only 10% of that is suited for social media. I redact and blur out images A LOT. I think most people will understand why.
